Based in the heart of the Lake District, Cumbria, Gandhi’s flip-flop specialise in catering for outdoor events and festivals, serving authentic vegetarian Indian curries, snacks and refreshments. Mark and Rich, the driving force behind the flip-flop, have solid roots in vegetarian cooking, having both worked in a number of veggie establishments. Combine this with their love of music, both playing in local bands (see links page for more info), their passion for travel throughout Asia (mainly in India) and you have the perfect festival caterers providing a unique culinary experience.
Being based in Cumbria means that Gandhi’s flip-flop is ideally situated to cater for any festival or event in northern England and southern Scotland. Our versatility means that we are perfect to cater for anything from the smallest village events to the largest outdoor festivals.
The food we serve reflects our love of curry and our time sampling different dishes while in India. Our trademark Indian Thali tickles the taste buds with a variety of different flavours, whilst our tasty vegetable curry, filled rotis, masala dosas and samosas are perfect for snacking on. And it can all be washed down with a refreshing mango lassi or steaming cup of chai.
All our dishes from far away are created with seasonal ingredients from not so far away. We source all our produce from local, ethical suppliers, whilst ensuring all materials we use can be re-used, or recycled. We have worked hard to ensure that you can enjoy your spicy treats with a clear conscience
