All events are attended by a BAII Personal License holder (required by law) and covered by our own Public Liability Insurance.

The Really Good Bar Company can work with your event on a management fee, profit share or % of turnover basis. The Really Good Bar Company runs really good bars at a range of events from music festivals to sporting events to private parties. We specialise in small-medium sized events (500 – 50,000) where we work alongside the organisers to create genuinely unique and exciting events. As an integral part of an event’s crew we work best with clients who share our passion for throwing a great party in a fun, safe, friendly environment, which we can be proud to be involved with.

Barnfest events

About us

Right from the beginning, when Barnfest started out, fancy dress was always gonna be the order of the day.  The most important idea was that it be an ‘open theme’.  An open theme gave us the freedom to create elaborate props, bars and areas that enabled all Barnfesters to interact and ‘play with’ our spun-out theatrical environment.  No two Barnfests are the same.  The open theme also enabled Barnfest party goers to get creative and be who/what they wanted to be and we are amazed at the thought and effort that goes into the fantastic costumes.

The brainstorming of Barnfest ideas starts months before each event, giving the Barnfest team enough time to not only see if these ideas are physically viable, but also to build them.  With the Barnfest team consisting of carpenters, electricians, artists and other skilled hands, we haven’t come unstuck yet!

Music and live entertainment has always been integral to Barnfest and a variety of styles is a must for every event.   From live bands to samba, gypsy folk to banging DJs, there is always enough choice to tick the right boxes!

The Barnfest team has a huge amount of passion and energy for what we do.  With the number of Barnfesters growing and the fantastic feedback we get after each event, it seems we are going to doing this for many years to come!

Chai Wallahs is an ethical and unique venue that seeks to provide an alternative, enlightening, sensually indulgent experience and a platform for fresh creative expression.

The Stage
Chai Wallahs hosts performances from a selection of the UK’s finest underground talent and established artists, and provides a culturally diverse production that covers a huge spectrum of musical styles.

Over the course of a festival between 35 to 40 acts will perform on the stage. Morning slots are usually filled with Jazz and World music. Lunch time & afternoon slots with folk, acoustic soul & blues, whilst the early evening will be a mixture of Hip Hop, Funk, Afrobeat, Ska, Reggae, Dub and Electronica.

From 9pm the tempo, vibe and energy continually build until around midnight when our resident DJs take over and the party truly begins.

DJ’s – The Diplomats of Sound
With over 30 years of experience between them, more than 20,000 tunes in their collection, a dedicated passion for fulfilling the crowds musical desires, and a reputation for never failing to get the party rocking. The ‘Diplomats of Sound’ provide a phat mix of Eclectic Beats and Party Vibes, ranging from 60’s rare grooves to present day electronica.

Aroma DJs
Uplifting the crowd using the art of scent and a vast selection of natures most powerful natural gums, herbs, resins and oils, our ‘Crazy Shaman’ team blend the scents to fit the musical vibes.

Bar & Café
The Chai Wallah menu has been designed with quality, value, and health in mind, and uses ethically and organically sourced produce/products whenever possible. The menu offers a wide and diverse selection of Organic Smoothies, Juices, cocktails, Hot Alcoholic Beverages, Healing Teas, Turkish Coffee, Freshly Brewed Chai and a range of delicious Wholesome Meals & Healthy Snacks. All contain elements of unadulterated natural goodness, and have been designed to provide a natural high and feelings of well-being.

Herbal Shot Bar
Our Herbal Shots are supplied by the ‘Crazy Shaman’ and provide a healthy alternative to the chemical highs that leave you feeling exhausted, depleted, imbalanced, hung over and miserable. They also offer a fast and effective way to recover from those banging festy nights.

Crazy Shaman’s Herbal Emporium
The Crazy Shaman emporium offers a range of ethically traded Healing Herbs, Superfoods, Arts, Crafts, Hand blended Natural Incense and Body Care Products for health, healing and sensory pleasure. Sourced from some of the most remote and untouched corners of the earth, crazy’s range of pure, raw, unprocessed natural foods & herbs are some of the most nutrient dense and stimulating foods on earth.

Shisha (Smokin) Lounge

This designated , covered, but open sided smoking area, allows festival goers to sit back, relax and enjoy a Hookah with their cuppa, without the fear of being turfed out into the rain. The low level sofas, coffee tables and perfectly balanced surround sound create this much missed and needed space for the smoking social.

The festival is set on a beautiful hillside in the stunning, rolling hills around Ilkley, West Yorkshire. The festival has been described as ‘a little haven of lovely white marquees, organic food, and frosty beers’. With a full weekend of entertainment for the 3000 music fans, and full bar set up from Gorilla this young festival is sure to grow each year.

The Big Chill

The Big Chill festival has quickly established itself as one of the more refined festivals on the summer circuit. Featuring several outdoor stages, large dance tents, and a wealth of entertainment, the festival draws a capacity of 30,000.

Proudly supported by Gorilla, the boys at ‘Soulshakers’ ( www.soulshakers.net ) provide an invaluable consultancy role managing and staffing the cocktail bars at this incredible event.

This demanding task creates the magic that is the Southern Comfort Fat Tuesday tent and The Finlandia Cocktail Bar,serving more than 10,000 cocktails over 4 days. In 2006 The Fat Tuesday tent claimed the prestigious award of ‘Best Atmosphere’ in the Times, proving that the Gorilla and Soul Shakers blend is truly rocking the festival market.
